Aims and Values
Christchurch Infant School aims to be a learning hub for the community.
Our school has very clear aims and values which pervade everything we do and every decision we make. We aim to give our children the very best life opportunity through ensuring:
-
They have the core skills and knowledge necessary to access their future education successfully
-
That children develop an understanding of what learning means and how they can learn things for themselves, so that they will be equipped for lifelong learning
-
Their families are engaged in the learning process and are involved in community learning opportunities
-
That the children experience a broad curriculum
-
That learning is high quality, and lessons are fun, with teachers making the best use of recent research to help them plan and deliver the best learning opportunities
At Christchurch Infant School we pride ourselves on our high expectations and our drive for continuous improvement in all that we do – encouraging everyone:
to be the best that you can be...
We expect children, staff, parents and the learning community to share our values which are:
-
We do our best
-
We believe in ourselves
-
We work as a team
We wanted to link each value to a memorable and meaningful character from a story which you can view in the document below:
